A Midsummer Night's Dream
During my work on the production of Midsummer, I collaborated with Lucy Himmelberg to create unique looks for each member of the cast. Since there were four different casts, we decided on a specific color palette for each one. Some students were cast in multiple roles, so we used headpieces or wigs to help disguise them.

Helena on stage!
Helena's makeup was designed with the idea that Helena wanted to be just like Hermia. Hermia had peachy colored makeup however, Helena's constant need to outshine Hermia is shown through her bolder pink hues in makeup.
Final outcome of Helena's hair design.

We made a very detailed google drive to support the cast in doing their makeup/hair. This google drive gave them easy access to inspo pics, supply list, tutorials and more! To view click the link!

Mechanicals on stage!
Bottom's makeup is very similar to all Mechanicals. All of the Mechanicals where put in neutral makeup with heavy contour and dirt spots to showcase how they are overworked actors. The difference with Bottoms is that we decided to include freckles to showcase the immaturity Bottom has.
Final product of hair & makeup! Quince was in put in a pony tail because of his controlling nature however, Bottom complements Quince with loose wavy hair showcasing Bottoms careless nature!

Mamma Mia!
In 2022, I worked on hair and makeup for the musical Mamma Mia! The cast was divided into four groups, including Dads, Donna and The Dynamos, Sophie and her entourage, and Sky and his entourage. To ensure that the makeup and hair design complemented the constant movement in the musical, we created pieces that worked fluidly with all the performers.

Dynamos on stage!
Donna is an overworked tired character who is very naturalistic. Through her simple makeup and slightly wavy hair we are showcasing Donna's simple nature while still portraying Donna's beauty.
When designing M's makeup, we had a few different drafts. At first we wanted them to have pops of color but decided to go with a neutral smokey eye with a glossy pink lip to complement Rosie's fun and outgoing character! For hair, the actor already had wavy hair so we kept it the same!

Money, Money, Money on stage!
Sophie's Dads all have different characteristics. Bill (Left) is funny and adventurous which is shown through his curly hair thrown up into a half up half down hairstyle. Sam (Middle) is confident, composed, and older which is shown through his gray hair that is combed and the wrinkly makeup. Harry (Left) is younger and more successful which is shown through his clean shave and combed over hair.

Voulez-Vouz on stage!
Sophie is a young bubbly character who seeks romance and thrill. We chose to put Sophie in a peachy eyeshadow and wavy hair to show her characters kindness and boldness.
For ensemble we wanted a look that could work for any location (Taverna, Bachelorette, Wedding etc). We decided to do a simple stage makeup look with shades of brown are eyeshadow! For hair the ensemble we rotated between four hairstyles (All down, half-up, pony tail, and pinned back). All hairstyles worked with any costumes or location which was important to us!

I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do on stage!
For the closing number (Waterloo) we designed wigs for the Dynamos and the Dads. The wigs where platinum and where each hand made by our design team. Each wig was filled with rhinestones, glitter and a lot of hairspray to ensure that their quick change was as seamless as possible.
Tanya's hair took the longest to style. Our inspiration was Farrah Fawcett and to accomplish that we spent over an hour each night putting Tanya's hair in rollers layered in hair spray. We would touch up her hair during breaks to ensure heir big hair stayed throughout the entire show.
